When your car's tires go flat, this kind of situation should not be a burden for you. After all, most cars already come with spare tires and a jack, along with other odds and ends that would help you facilitate changing your tires in no time at all.
To change a tire or a couple of tires, park your car first in an area where the ground is level. Do not forget to put on the parking brake. If your car is equipped with a manual transmission system, place it in gear.
Turn off your engine for there is no need for it to be turned on and running. However, if you have parked in an area where there is an incline, put a huge rock or a wheel chock beneath the opposing wheel so that you would not find your car rolling down the incline.
This is now the time to take out your spare tire as well as a tire iron and the jack. If you have to remove a hubcap, do such. Then, loosen the lug nuts on your wheel.
Do this before you place the jack in your car. Make sure that you loosen each and every lug nut that connects your tire to the wheel. But do not unscrew them completely. As long as the lug nuts are loosened up and not unscrewed completely, that would do.
Then, start jacking up your vehicle.
To be safe, check your car owner's manual for the specifics on the location as per where you should put your jack. And when you jack your car, make sure that you raise your car a little higher so that you can not only remove the old flat tire but you can also put in the new tire.
When the car has been jacked up fine, you can now unscrew completely the lug nuts. And after this, you can remove the flat tire. Get out your new tire and put it where the old one was.
Then, place back the lug nuts and tighten them up.
After this, you can now lower the jack and remove it. If you have a hubcap, you can now put it back on.

How to Properly Check Tire Pressure and Condition for Increased Driving Safety
Copyright 2006 David Maillie
Tire pressure and condition is one of the most overlooked safety aspects on our cars.
Most people just assume their tires are fine and that they will be safe because they look fine ? the tires are not flat and the car runs.
Rarely do we ever see someone get out of their car and check their tire pressure or place their hands on the tire and feel for problems with their tire condition.
What most people don't know is that proper tire pressure will improve your gas mileage, make your brakes and suspension system last longer, and it will improve your gas mileage.
It will also make you safer.
According to AAA, it is best to have your tires pressure and condition checked for driving safety every time you fill up your gas tank and prior to any long drives or vacations.
Before checking your tire pressure you should check your tires condition. Your tires are what holds you to the road and if there...

Wheels and Tires
Wheels are the circular disks or rings on which automobile tires are mounted. Wheels work in synchronization with an axle. The tire is a rubber ring filled with air that fits around the wheel of a vehicle. The wheel and tires move together with axle that allows low friction in motion by rolling.
There are two types of tires that can be mounted on wheels: pneumatic and solid.
Pneumatic tires are air-filled tires. They have holes in the rim, which makes mounting of wheel on hub easier. Pneumatic tires are good for traction as they can be easily adjusted by changing the air pressure. The tire will have larger traction when you reduce the air pressure because the contact path with the floor will be larger. However, with the reduced wheel diameter, the speed reduces and the torque or the pushing power goes up.
Pneumatic tires invariably involve risk of puncture as a disadvantage. On the other hand, solid tires are made from solid rubber or plastic. They are very...

Winter Car Care
As the weather turns colder, it is time to think about your car for a second. A little preparation can go a long way to making your winter travels a lot safer. Here is a checklist to get you started. 1. Check the antifreeze. The freezing point can be checked with a simple tool available at any auto parts store.
Make sure you check the antifreeze when it's cool. Opening a hot radiator can be a dangerous thing. 2. Check the air pressure in your tires. As the air gets cooler pressure drops in your tires. Maintaining your tire pressures will reward you with higher gas mileage and longer tire life.
3. Make sure you have the following items in your car.
How to Keep Your Tires in Good Shape for a Long Time
Your vehicle's tires are actually synthetic rubber which has been shaped into its form. It covers the circumference of the wheel of a vehicle. What it actually does is it dampens any strong shocks or forces that could be the effects of any irregularities on the road surface like bumps or potholes. In fact, tires also protect the wheel itself from wearing out too soon.
That is why it is of utmost importance that a car owner should take extra care when it comes to the tires.
One of the most common ways of keeping a tire in good shape and condition would be to maintain the proper air pressure. Make this activity a routine and do it regularly. And this is very important also when you are about to take long drives. And during the summer months, be sure that you check the tire pressure when the tires are cold for the air inside expands when the tires are hot so you would be getting a different reading.
How do you know the right amount of air...
Cooper Investment Group Takes on New Product Line
Manahawkin,NJ (ContentDesk)Febuary 24, 2006 -- Cooper Investment Group LLC is now promoting a new and exciting product that will increase vehicle fuel mileage up to 35%.They are very excited about this product, says Gary Cooper owner of CIG, He has been in the automotive business for many years working as a technician and manager and found this product to reduce vehicle emission and increase fuel mileage in both gas or diesel engine. This amazing product comes in pills or powder form and modifies the fuels molecular structure which liberates the energy within. This is achieved by the Brownian motion which consists on the molecular movement of the components of the polymeric chain contained in hydrocarbons. The gas pills are a catalyst and are capable of speeding or retarding a chemical reaction. This chemical reaction will cause, without getting too technical, will create a air fuel mixture with a bigger and more complete combustion mix. This will optimize the combustion process and have...

Vehicle Recycling Partnership and USCAR Initiated Tests by Cooper-Standard Show Cost Reduction Potentials Using More than 25 Percent Recycled Content in Automotive Rubber Parts have been Repeated in Europe
Recent tests in Europe duplicated the previous tests conducted by Cooper-Standard Automotive initiated by the Vehicle Recycling Partnership of USCAR (United States Council for Automotive Research). These independent tests reported at the European Tyre Recycling Conference (ETRA) confirmed the consistent production repeatability of the generic CBp Europe technology to recover and upgrade the carbon black and mineral fillers, including silica, from pyrolysed scrap tires and rubber into a competitive reinforcing black filler. Two cost-benefit performance grades of homogenous reinforcing fillers are produced:CBp-067 for economic substitution or blending with N-600 or N-700 series carbon blacks and a less reinforcing filler, CBp-090, with properties similar to N-900 carbon blacks.Carbon black is an important ingredient in nearly all rubber products to improve properties such as tensile, wear resistance and modulus. Scrap tyres and rubber can contain 25% to 35% carbon black. According to the...

Re-Define What "Clean" Means for You and Your Home
There's an old saying - A person doesn't buy a drill because they want a drill. They buy the drill because they want a hole. The same is true for vacuum cleaners. A person only buys a vacuum cleaner because they want their home to be clean. They care about getting rid of dirt and airborne irritants - even if they're too small to be seen.
The measure of a vacuum cleaner is the quality of "clean" it delivers. Time to bring Old-fashioned Notions about Cleaning up to DateNot that long ago,...
